Church Missions and Ministries

At Ebenezer Reformed Church, we are deeply committed to missions. We take seriously God’s words to us when he says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20. We support a variety of local and international missionaries and ministries. Here are just a few of the ways we support local and international missions:

  • Local Food Pantries: We support the food pantries in the surrounding 4 towns of Oregon, Byron, Stillman Valley, and Mount Morris.
  • Rockford Rescue Mission: The Rockford Rescue Mission shares hope and help in Jesus’ name to move people from homelessness and despair toward personal and spiritual wholeness.
    Core Values:
    • Living for the Glory of God
    • Respecting Human Dignity and Immortality
    • Proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
    • Modeling Compassionate Generosity
    • Partnering with the Church and Community
    • Serving with Integrity and Excellence
    • Rejoicing in Lives Changed by God

  • Missionaries Chuck and Jean Van Engen: Chuck and Jean are missionaries to Latin America who work in training up leaders of the Latin American church.
